2017 AAU Boys Basketball Eligibility Requirements

AGE BASED COMPETITION RULES

10U  An athlete can be no older than 10 on August 31, 2017.

11U  An athlete can be no older than 11 on August 31, 2017.

12U An athlete can be no older than 12 on August 31, 2017.

13U An athlete can be no older than 13 on August 31, 2017.

14U  An athlete can be no older than 14 on August 31, 2017

HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION RULES

15U/9TH GRADE  An athlete can be no older than 15 on August 31, 2017. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 9th Grade as of October 1, 2016 and who is no older than 16 on August 31, 2017

16U/10TH GRADE  An athlete can be no older than 16 on August 31, 2017. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 10th Grade as of October 1, 2016 and who is no older than 17 on August 31, 2017

17U/11TH GRADE  An athlete can be no older than 17 on August 31, 2017. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 11th Grade as of October 1, 2016 and who is no older than 18 on August 31, 2017

19U/12TH GRADE  An athlete can be no older than 19 on August 31, 2017. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 12th Grade as of October 1, 2016 and who is no older than 20 on August 31, 2017

2017 ELIGIBILITY MATERIAL OPTIONS

1. Electronic Age Verification through SportsAge ID. (Meets age and photo ID requirements)

2. Valid Passport (Meets age and photo ID requirements)

3. Valid Drivers License or LearnerÃ??Ã?¢??s Permit (Meets age and photo ID requirements)

4. Military ID card (Meets age and photo ID requirements)

5. Dept. of Motor Vehicles State Identification card (Meets age and photo ID requirements)

6. A current school picture ID in addition to an original raised seal birth certificate (if your school does not issue I.D. cards, download our School I.D. Verification Form, complete it and have it verified by your school administrator) (Meets age and photo ID requirements)

7. Report Card (Meets grade requirement)

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Photo Identification eligibility material is REQUIRED at National Championship events for all athletes.

2. It is the teams responsibility to determine an athletes eligibility prior to signing up for the event.

3. Proof of age and/or grade must be available for review, by an AAU designee at all AAU licensed competitions, if requested.

4. Non-compliance with the proof of eligibility rule will result in players being disqualified.Contact tournament host with any age questions or requests to play in other division.

The 10U-12U play with the 28.5 Ball. They can play Zone, Press until a team is up 30 points. then then must pickup inside the 3 point line. Other than that they are the same
